Welcome to the world of Lee de Winton. This is my corner of the digital sky, where the realms of business leadership, aviation excellence, travel journeys and literary adventures converge.
With a distinguished career spanning the realms of military precision and corporate leadership, I bring a wealth of experience that defines my professional journey. Having served with honour in both the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Air Force, my early years instilled a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of operational intricacies. Transitioning to the dynamic world of commercial aviation, I played a pivotal role in Qantas Freight's operations, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of air cargo services.
Subsequently, my path led me to helm multiple CEO roles, including those at Sydney Metro Airports and Pacific Aerospace Consulting, applying strategic vision and organisational acumen to drive success. My journey reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence, grounded in a passion for aviation and a commitment to fostering growth and innovation in every role undertaken.
As a seasoned aviation executive, I've navigated multiple aspects of the aviation industry and led teams to new heights. My journey has taken me to every corner of the world, experiencing the boundless thrills and challenges that come with a life working in aviation. This included managing some of the most critical airspace in the world during times of conflict.
My professional life has always been in aviation, whether within Defence, airlines, airports or Defence Industry. It has been an amazing and dynamic career.
With over two decades of dedicated service in the aviation industry, my journey has been defined by diverse roles across various sectors.

Transitioning into airport management roles in Australia and Afghanistan, I tackled the complexities of operational logistics and infrastructure management in challenging environments.
Joining Qantas as the Head of Freight Operations; it was leading this global team that provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the airline's operations on an international scale, enriching my perspective on the intricacies of the industry. As the CEO of Sydney Metro Airports, overseeing one of Australia's busiest general aviation hubs, I led strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and stakeholder engagement, further solidifying my commitment to driving excellence in the aviation sector.
As a leader with a passion for sharing insights, I engage in public speaking to inspire and motivate. From business conferences to leadership seminars, I bring a unique perspective shaped by real-world experiences and a commitment to excellence.
